Greek Salad - Horiatiki

A Greek salad goes well with every dish. Serving this salad as a part of your Christmas feast will not disappoint.


  • 2-3 fragrant, ripe tomatoes 
  • 1 cucumber, skin peeled 
  • 1 red onion, sliced 
  • 6-7 Kalamata Olives
  • ½ green capsicum, sliced 
  • Pinch of dried oregano
  • Pinch of salt
  • Dash of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Splash of red wine vinegar or the juice of a ½ a lemon
  • 1/2 block creamy feta cheese


  1. In a salad bowl, cut tomatoes, cucumber, onion and capsicum in large slices or chunks 
  2. Add pitted Kalamata olives (or your favourite olives)
  3. Add a dash of salt and dried oregano
  4. Toss salad with Extra Virgin Olive oil and red wine vinegar or lemon juice
  5. Break feta in large pieces and place on top (I like to add a sprinkle of oregano on feta too) 
  6. Serve and enjoy!
