3 Delicious Smoothie Recipes

One of the great things about smoothies is how versatile they can be. Just blend your favourite fruit, veggies, milk, yogurt or other nutritious ingredients, and you have a healthy breakfast or post-workout snack. You don’t ever have to have the same combo more than once, you can mix and change any ingredient to your liking. 

Green Smoothie (serves 1) 

Ingredients: 

  • 3/4 cup water 
  • 2 tablespoons natural Greek yogurt
  • 1/4  medium avocado
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks 
  • 1 medium kiwi fruit, peeled
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup kale (no stems) 
  • 1/4 cup ice cubes 

Method: 

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender, blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Enjoy! 
Note: You can add any leafy greens you like. 


Strawberry & Beetroot Smoothie (serves 1) 

Ingredients: 

  • 3/4 cup water 
  • 1/4  cup peeled, chopped raw beet
  • 3/4 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen 
  • 1/2 apple
  • Juice from half a lemon or lime 
  • 1/4 cup ice cubes 

Method: 

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender, blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Note: You can replace strawberries with blueberries or mixed berries. 

Banana & Peanut Butter Smoothie (serves 1) 

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, peeled 
  • 1/2 cup milk (of your choice) 
  • 1/2 cup strawberries or raspberries, fresh or frozen (optional) 
  • 1-2 tablespoons natural peanut butter 
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes 

Method: 

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender, blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Note: You can add protein powder, oats, LSA mix or chia seeds.
