4 Smoothie Recipe Ideas
Smoothies can be an excellent addition to a balanced diet when made thoughtfully and with wholesome ingredients. They can provide a convenient way to increase your intake of fruit and vegetables, fibre, nutrients and antioxidants.
Breakfast Smoothie:
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- ¼ cup oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or peanut butter
- Ice cubes (optional, for a cooler drink)
Method:
- In a blender, combine all ingredients.
- If you prefer a cooler drink, add a few ice cubes before blending.
